About
My name is Adeel Khan. I am a self taught artist based in London.
I create sculptural lamps which give physical form to my process of self-exploration.
The pieces seem to answer questions I can’t quite define, but which I experience as a kind of existential tangle in my mind.
As I try to probe and unpick the tangle in a more cerebral way, I become aware of a form emerging from somewhere much deeper within me.

As the form ascends from the depths and is entrusted to more conscious layers of myself, the final design becomes imprinted with my human fallibility and playfulness.

Because of where they come from, the pieces carry a quiet mystery which somehow answers my question. I see them as a non-verbal communication from the part of me which knows, to the part trying to remember. For this reason, you are as free to interpret them as I am. I hope that they might stimulate a similar kind of internal communication within you.
